Rimrock is part of Lake Montezuma in Yavapai county which also includes McGuireville. The community is located in central Arizona’s Verde Valley, 20 miles south of Sedona and 8 miles north of Camp Verde. Rimrock was named after the Rimrock Guest Ranch, which in turn was named after the Rimrock landscape.
