Los Angeles Event Venues: Schools, Colleges, and Learning Centers

Los Angeles is home to the University of Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of Southern California as well as other schools, and learning centers. Schools and learning centers often rent their auditoriums and classrooms for conferences and other events. Workshops and classes are also sometimes available as an activity for groups.

The Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) is a public two year trade college located on a 25 acre campus. The school’s Cafeteria and Garden Room are available for events. Risers and a stage are also available.

Loyola Marymount University

Loyola Marymount University (LMU) has a beautiful campus overlooking Marina del Rey and the Pacific Ocean. Event spaces at LMU include auditoriums, meeting and conference rooms, banquet facilities, classrooms, lounge space, outdoor space, and athletic facilities. LMU also offers overnight accommodations for events.

Mount Saint Mary’s University

Mount St. Mary’s College is a liberal arts college with two campuses in Los Angeles. The school has facilities available for events at both campuses. The Chalon Campus offers a 350 seat theater, a 4,800 square feet conference center, a 300 seat chapel, and additional conference rooms. The Doheny Campus offers the Doheny Mansion with its lawn and gardens, the Donohue Center, a 60 seat chapel, and additional conference rooms.

UCLA Anderson School of Management includes a seven building complex with courtyards and outdoor spaces. The Carol Beth and Lester Korn Convocation Hall Auditorium seats events with up to 420 people. The Executive Dining Room accommodates up to 250 people. The Carol Beth and Lester Korn Foyer accommodates up to 150 people. The Entrepreneurs Hall and Cornell Hall Atriums accommodate up to 100 people. The Executive Dining Room Prep Kitchen and West Terrace accommodate up to 100 people. The eight large classrooms seat up to 72 people each. The two small classrooms seat up to 45 people each. The two flat classrooms seat up to 25 people each. The three seminar classrooms seat up to 15 people each. The Alumni Plaza accommodates outdoor events with up to 700 people. The Marion Anderson Courtyard accommodates up to 300 people. The North Lawn accommodates up to 200 people. The Wells Fargo Courtyard accommodates up to 150 people.

UCLA Conference Services provides accommodations for conferences, meetings, weddings, and other events on the university campus. The campus has facilities to accommodate events with up to 12,000 guests and offers overnight accommodations for up to 9,000 guests. Event spaces include the dividable 5,925 square feet Grand Horizon Room, the 3,700 square feet Grand Horizon Terrace, the 3,700 square feet Plaza Room, the 2,700 square feet Study Lounge, the 2,700 square feet International Room, the 961 square feet South Bay Room, the 920 square feet Northridge Room, the 874 square feet West Coast Room, the 430 seat Lecture Auditorium, the Northwest Campus Auditorium, and the Sycamore Room.

The UCLA Faculty Center is located on the UCLA Campus south of Murphy Hall. The Center’s facilities are available for weddings, receptions, parties, banquets, meetings, and other events. The dividable Main Dining Room accommodates up to 600 people. The California Room accommodates up to 200 people. The dividable Sequoia Room accommodates up to 160 people. The Hacienda Room and the Downstairs Lounge each accommodate up to 80 people. The dividable Redwood Room accommodates up to 60 people. The Sierra Room accommodates up to 50 people. The dividable Pines Room accommodates up to 40 people. The Executive Room seats 10 people.

The UCLA Student Union Event Services offers meeting rooms and event venues for all sorts of events at the Student Union. The Student Union includes the 1919 Kerckhoff Hall and the more modern Ackerman Union. The Charles E. Young Grand Salon is an elegant setting for events with up to 90 people. The Ackerman Grand Ballroom is a large open air venue with a built in stage that accommodates up to 2,200 people. The Ackerman Second Floor Lounge accommodates up to 220 people. The Kerckhoff Coffeehouse patio accommodates up to 1,000 people. Additional spaces include an art gallery, a lounge, a patio, and meeting rooms.

USC Hospitality offers event facilities on the 300 acre University of Southern California campus. The Town and Gown dining room accommodates up to 1,500 guests for receptions or up to 550 guests for seated meals. The Davidson Continuing Education Conferencing Center offers multiple facilities for meetings and conferences. Additional indoor and outdoor facilities are also available including ballrooms, an auditorium, a church, a courtyard, a plaza, and a park.
