San Francisco Event Venues: Parks, Gardens, and Stadiums

San Francisco’s parks, gardens, and stadiums provide plenty of spacious outdoor settings as well as some indoor and sheltered venues for weddings, picnics, sports, and all sorts of other events.

AT&T Park
24 Willie Mays Plaza, San Francisco
AT&T Park is home to the San Francisco Giants Baseball team. The park is available to rent for events such as concerts, performances, sports, weddings, and parties. Venues include the Field Club Lounge, the Club Level Lounge area, the Clubhouse, the Coca Cola Fan Lot, the Scoreboard Plaza, the Batting Tunnels, and the Ball Field.

Candlestick Park

Candlestick Park is an 83 park that include the stadium that is home to the San Francisco 49ers football team. The stadium seats 70,000 people for football games and other events. The stadium has party pavilions available for groups of 50 of more people. Group discounts are also available for tickets.

Candlestick Point State Recreation Area
1150 Carroll Avenue, San Francisco
Candlestick Point State Recreation Area is a 252 acre park with bay views, walking trails, and a community garden. The park has a group picnic site that can accommodate events with up to 50 people.

The Golden Gate National Park
Fort Mason, San Francisco
Golden Gate National Park stretches 70 miles along the Pacific Ocean and includes 80,400 acres of land. Many beautiful settings are available at the park for events. Picnic areas are first come first served. Events with less than 50 people or sporting events with less than 30 people do not require a permit. Permits are available for larger events.

Inspiration Point
Just inside the Arguello Boulevard Gate, San Francisco
Inspiration Point is a bluestone and sandstone visitor’s plaza with views of the San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz. The plaza is available to rent for events with up to 275 people.

Mint Plaza
54 Mint St, San Francisco
Mint Plaza is an open space used for community gatherings and public events. The space is available to rent for private events including weddings, parties, and film and photo shoots.

San Francisco Recreation and Park Department
501 Stanyan Street, San Francisco
San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department has picnic areas, stadiums, sports fields, gardens, and other facilities available for all sorts of events. Indoor facilities are also available including the County Fair Building, gymnasiums, and clubhouses.

Yerba Buena Gardens

The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival is a 2.5 block garden complex in the SOMA district of San Francisco. The gardens are available to rent for events. The 85,000 square feet Children’s Garden accommodates up to 2,000 people. The 29,540 square feet Jessie Square accommodates up to 500 people. The 8,100 square feet East Garden accommodates up to 500 people. The 5,880 square feet Terrace accommodates up to 500 people. The 1,800 square feet Carousel Plaza accommodates up to 200 people.
