Los Angeles has several public libraries and most of them have meeting rooms. The meeting rooms provide affordable meeting space for clubs, workshops, and other events.

AC Bilbrew Library

The AC Bilbrew Library is a 21,000 square feet library that includes the Black Resources Center, an adult reading area, a study room, a children’s area, and an kid’s activity room with an outdoor patio. The library has a meeting room that can accommodate events with up to 168 people.

East Los Angeles Library

The East Los Angeles Library is a 26,300 square feet building with adult and children’s areas, a computer room, and a bookstore. The park has a meeting room available for events with up to 175 people.

Los Angeles Central Public Library

The Los Angeles Central Public Library is a historic library that was constructed in 1926. The library has several spaces available to rent for events including the Mark Taper Auditorium and Lobby, the Atrium Landings, the Lodrick M Cook Rotunda, the KLOS Story Theater, the Flora L Thornton Courtyard, the Children’s Courtyard, the Robert F Maguire Gardens, meeting rooms, and a conference center. The library can accommodate up to 500 people inside and up to 1,500 people outside.

San Francisco Event Venues: Schools, Colleges, Learning Centers, and Libraries

San Francisco offers a plethora of educational opportunities, whether one is interested in learning about cheeses, joining the circus, or getting a college education. Schools often have space available for events including auditoriums and classrooms. Additionally, workshops and classes can make interesting activities for parties and other get-togethers.

The Cheese School of San Francisco

The Cheese School of San Francisco offers cheese classes and tasting events. The school hosts cocktail style parties for up to 75 guests and private class events for up to 30 guests.

Circus Center

Circus Center includes a professional performing company, a student troupe, and a school. Circus Center hosts classes, workshops, events, and parties with up to 24 people.

Lone Mountain Conference Center

Lone Mountain Conference Center is located at the University of San Francisco. Mclaren Rooms 250 and 252 accommodate up to 200 people each. Mclaren Room 251 accommodates up to 100 people. Lone Mountain Room 148 accommodates up to 250 people. Lone Mountain Room 100 accommodates up to 100 people. The Handlery Dining Room accommodates events with up to 100 guests. Additional event spaces accommodate 15 to 80 people each.

The Mission Bay Conference Center is located on the University of California, San Francisco’s 43 acre life sciences campus. The Center includes ten conference rooms totaling 12,500 square feet of event space. The 4,828 square feet dividable Robertson Auditorium accommodates events with up to 582 people. The 4,650 square feet dividable Fisher Banquet Room accommodates events with up to 465 people. Additional event spaces range from 442 square feet conference rooms to a 960 square feet Lounge.

San Francisco Art Institute

The San Francisco Art Institute in San Francisco’s Russian Hill features a 1926 Spanish Colonial building along with more modern constructions. The school has several spaces available for events. The Lecture Hall seats 250 people and has a state of the art film and video projection system. The quad accommodates up to 300 people, has great views and can be tented. The roof terraces features extraordinary views and an amphitheater, and accommodates up to 300 people. The courtyard features an arched doorway, and a tiled fountain, and accommodates up to 220 people. The café accommodates up to 49 people.

San Francisco Conservatory of Music

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music has performance spaces and classrooms available to rent for events. The Concert Hall is a renovated historic ballroom with seating up to 404 people and a 1,950 square feet stage. The Recital Hall seats up to 121 people and has a 720 square feet stage. The 1,512 square feet Osher Salon seats up to 100 people.

Seven Hills Conference Center

The Seven Hills Conference Center at San Francisco State University has spaces available for all sorts of events. The Nob Hill Room accommodates up to 350 people. The Coit Lounge accommodates up to 100 people. Four boardrooms are available that seat 10 people each.

Towers Conference Center

The Towers Conference Center is located at San Francisco State University. The Center includes three rooms that accommodate receptions with up to 60 people each or banquets with up to 35 people each. The rooms can be combined for larger events. The entire conference center accommodates up to 300 people.

The University of California San Francisco Conference Services has three unique venues available for events. The Millberry Union Event and Meeting Center offers the 1,120 square feet Golden Gate Room, the 728 square feet large City Lights Room, and the 393 square feet small City Lights Room. The Mission Bay Conference Center offers 12,500 square feet of conference space. Laurel Heights has an auditorium and meeting space available.
