Somerton is located in Yuma County, 12 miles south of Yuma. Somerton’s economy is mostly agricultural, but Somerton also has a small commercial sector. More information about Somerton.

Cocopah Resort and Conference Center is located in the Sonoran desert, minutes from downtown Yuma. The resort offers casino gaming, live entertainment, great food, a heated pool and a Jacuzzi. The resort makes a great setting for all sorts of events such as conferences, parties, and weddings. The Conference Center offers 4,000 square feet of event space. The Cottonwood Room is over 3,000 square feet and can seats up to 200 people. The Cottonwood Room can also be divided into three smaller rooms. The Half Cottonwood Room seats up to 120 people. The Mesquite and Willow Room seat up to 40 people each. The Shell Space seats up to 75 people. The Executive Boardroom accommodates meetings with up to ten people.

The Somerton Parks and Recreation Department manages the city parks and facilities for Somerton residents. Somerton Parks and Recreation facilities include the Community Center at 805 W Main Street, the Senior Center at 345 S Bingham Ave, Joe Muñoz Park at 245 W Fern Street, Council Ave Parks at 801 N Council Avenue, Sanguinetti Park at 202 W Main Street, Perricone Park at 321 N Cesar Chavez Avenue, and Heritage Pool at 801 W Main Street. The Community Center is available to rent for events. Ramadas are available to rent at Somerton’s parks.
